    FLEXcon Company, Inc., the leading global manufacturer of coated and laminated films and adhesives, is seeking an outstanding HR COE Manager, to lead the Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS and Learning & Development Department and assist the entire organization as it implements new lean operational processes and a HRBP/COE (Center of Excellence) Model. This role reports to the VP of HR and Marketing Communications and is based at FLEXcon’s headquarters in Spencer, Massachusetts.

    Responsibilities

    As a member of the HR Leadership team the HR COE Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the COE set of services (compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS and training and organizational design), providing expertise, leadership and development of the COE team. You will play a leadership role in the transitioning the HR department to the HRBP/COE model while effectively assisting the business as it goes through significant changes through in the design and delivery of effective COE programs and services.

    In this role, you will:

    • Lead the COE staff; manage project teams and make decisions on COE priorities and action plans to support business initiatives
    • Translate the business initiatives, into actionable COE activities
    • Identify and prioritize the processes, policies and procedures that need to be streamlined, standardized, automated or reallocated
    • Monitor the effects of COE programs and develop plans to ensure they improve, sustain and reinforce company goals
    • Define the scope and services needed within the COE to support the business needs
    • Implement the structure and develop the required skill sets for every member of the COE in order to provide “subject matter experts” while ensuring a cohesive teamwork and partnership with the HRBPs
    • Identify and implement the required standards, methodologies and tools needed to support HR COE services
    • Lead the implementation of the COE related process, policies and procedures identified by the HR Leadership team
    • Develop effective methods for measuring HR’s delivered value
    • Create the best economies of scale for HR COE service offerings
    • Ensure that processes are in place to safeguard the company against noncompliance with all internal (corporate governance) and external (state and federal) regulations
    • Create and maintain a strong team that delivers programs and processes to support the success of the organization

    Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
    • 12 to 15 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on compensation, benefits, HRIS and payroll including direct responsibilities for program design and implementation
    • Should include at least 3 years of experience within a COE/HRBP environment
    • Should include 3 to 5 years of leadership experience * Excellent project management and process improvement skills
    • Highly effective communication skills, both written and oral
    • Excellent problem assessment and problem solving skills
    • Effective relationship-building skills
    • Extensive knowledge of rules & regulations applicable to state and federal laws including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, ADA & EEOC regulations
    • The ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and HR operations information
    • Legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
