  • Position Overview

    As a Regional Sales Manager with FLEXcon, you will have the ability to manage, mentor and develop a team of up to 6 sales representatives to expand sales at existing accounts and to prospect to identify, develop and grow new accounts. You will be instrumental in participating in annual planning meetings to help set company budget and sdp (strategic deployment process) initiatives. Active participant in prioritizing key business opportunities that will meet / exceed budgeted revenue and margin targets. This role would be based out of your home in the Los Angeles/Orange County region and would cover 11 states from Montana to New Mexico all the way over to the West Coast.

    • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years industry field experience with successful track record
    • Experience managing a minimum of 3 - 5 direct reports
    • Hire, train and develop your direct sales team as required; conduct performance appraisals and goal setting. Make salary recommendations and handle performance concerns.
    • Develop annual sales and margin forecasts.
    • Implement sales and marketing strategies to guide and direct sales organization to attain preset profit and sales goals based on forecasts.
    • Continually examine customers and their place in the market to determine revenue and margin potential. Measure effectiveness of competition at individual accounts and within the market to anticipate market changes.       Appraise competitive products and recommend changes in FLEXcon products and procedures to address competitive threats.
    • Possess a current and valid state driver’s license 
    • Industrial sales experience a plus
    • Professionalism, high energy and excellent communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing would be a plus
    • Successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen
    • Ability to travel by car 50% of the time and by plane 4 – 6 times per year
